About

At Preserve Health MD in Port St. Lucie, Dr. Ira Pearlstine has built a practice around one conviction: patient care should come first. He began practicing medicine on the Treasure Coast in 1987 and started the Family Practice division of the Heart and Family Health Institute in 1989. Today he holds the distinction of being St. Lucie County's first concierge primary care physician.

The practice keeps its panel intentionally small, limited to just a few hundred patients. That scale lets Dr. Pearlstine offer same-day appointments, extended visits, and 24/7 direct access via his personal cell phone, text, and email. In 2024, he welcomed Leah Ginn, APRN, to the team in response to growing demand for personalized care. Leah brings a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida and a background in oncology, interventional radiology, and emergency care. Members have access to on-site EKGs, in-office blood draws, joint injections, nutrition consultations, diabetic teaching, and home visits, all under one roof.
