The practice strongly supports routine childhood vaccines and encourages families to follow the recommended immunization schedule. At this time, Platypus Pediatrics does not administer vaccines in-office. Families can get immunizations at the local health department, a traditional pediatric practice, or a local pharmacy for children two years and older.
Current law prevents Platypus Pediatrics from accepting Medicaid patients. The practice actively works with state legislators to change that. Families who use Medicaid can request placement on a wait list in the meantime.
The practice asks for 30 days notice before cancellation. Members who pay quarterly or annually receive a refund for their remaining unused balance. The one-time enrollment fee is non-refundable; rejoining after cancellation requires paying it again.
