Patients pay an annual retainer fee to enroll in the Concierge Care program. This fee covers enhanced access and service benefits, billed directly to the patient outside of any insurance or Medicare contract. Standard office visits and procedures continue billing through insurance as usual. Concierge members receive same-day or next-day appointments with minimal wait times, expedited phone access during business hours, and on-call physician coverage after hours. The practice also provides extended office visits, direct secure-portal communication with physicians, hospital and surgical guidance, and dedicated staff support for referrals, insurance authorizations, and prescriptions. Dr. Ma and Dr. Gair coordinate directly with preferred subspecialists at UCLA, St. John's, and Cedars-Sinai.

Yes. The practice contracts with UC Care Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, Blue Cross/Blue Shield affiliated plans in California, Medicare, and United Health Care. The office submits claims and accepts contracted rates for these plans, with patients responsible only for deductibles and co-pays. The practice does not accept HMO plans.

The Direct Contract Primary Care option serves patients without insurance or those on non-contracted PPO plans. It covers a defined set of primary care services, including annual wellness exams, well-woman and well-child visits, urgent care visits, chronic disease follow-up, in-office diagnostics, and an annual flu vaccination, for a fixed annual fee with no deductibles or co-pays.

Yes. The practice offers same-day and next-day appointments for Concierge Care members. Patients and staff alike describe appointment access as consistently easy, even for urgent same-day needs.

Yes. Pacific Palisades Medical Group offers online consultations through its secure patient portal. Concierge members access their physician directly through the portal for both scheduled visits and between-appointment communication.

Pacific Palisades Medical Group now operates from its Santa Monica office at 2730 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 301, Santa Monica, CA 90403. The practice relocated there after the original Pacific Palisades office was lost in the Palisades Fire.

The practice does not contract with any HMO plans. Patients with HMO coverage who wish to see Dr. Ma or Dr. Gair may pay as cash patients or enroll in the Direct Contract Primary Care option.

Non-office-based lab tests, radiology, and other diagnostic services bill separately through providers such as UCLA Healthcare, Quest, Tower Imaging, or Providence/St. John's. These entities contract with most major health plans, and patients receive separate statements directly from them.
