About
At Mulford Medical DPC, Dr. Theodore Schock has served the Rockford, Illinois community since 1998. He opened the practice in 2008 after spending his first seven years in medicine at a hospital-owned clinic. On January 1, 2020, he transitioned the practice to a Direct Primary Care model. His wife Heidi Schock co-founded the practice and has managed office operations from the beginning.
Dr. Schock keeps his panel intentionally small to prioritize care over patient volume. The monthly membership covers office visits, phone consultations, and emails with no copays. The practice runs an in-house laboratory with dramatically reduced prices. A full thyroid panel, for example, costs members $75 versus $500 or more elsewhere. Simple procedures, joint injections, EKG testing, and many generic medications round out what members access at cost. Price transparency guides every aspect of how the practice operates.
