The practice bills professional services separately to you or your health insurance plan. It participates with several insurance plans, including Medicare, and accepts those plans as payment in full for professional services, subject to deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance. Membership fees, however, are not covered by insurance and remain the member's personal responsibility.

You may submit the membership fee to a flexible spending account, health reimbursement account, or medical savings account at your discretion. The practice makes no guarantee that any portion of the fee qualifies for reimbursement. Check with your benefits administrator to confirm what your account covers.

The practice uses Spruce, a HIPAA-compliant platform, for secure telehealth visits and direct messaging. Members access Spruce from a smartphone, tablet, or computer. This allows direct contact with Dr. Metzger without scheduling an in-person visit.

Members pay the membership fee annually, semi-annually, quarterly, or monthly. The practice collects payments by automatic debit from a bank account or credit card. Certain processing fees may apply depending on the payment method chosen.

Dr. Metzger can consult with and refer members to more than 60,000 Castle Connolly Top Doctors® across the United States and internationally. These physicians earn their listing through a peer-nomination process. The network gives members fast access to high-quality specialist care when needed.

A qualified covering physician steps in when Dr. Metzger is unavailable. Dr. Metzger also remains personally reachable in most cases through phone or the Spruce secure messaging platform, even when away from the office.

Prospective patients schedule a consultation to learn whether membership is a good fit. The consultation allows Dr. Metzger and the patient to discuss health needs and review the details of the membership program before enrolling.
