No. Koru Health does not accept health insurance. Keeping insurance out of the equation allows the practice to lower overhead and offer flat monthly fees with no copays. The practice recommends members carry separate health insurance for services outside the membership, such as hospitalization, surgery, and specialist care.

Yes. Koru Health accepts Medicare patients. However, Dr. Myhre does not bill Medicare for the direct care services she provides. Medicare patients sign a form at their first visit acknowledging this arrangement.

Membership covers primary care visits with no copays, comprehensive physicals, pap smears, sports and school physicals, preventive care, chronic disease management, dietary and exercise counseling, acute visits, and hospitalization and specialist coordination. Procedures included for members cover laceration repair, skin biopsy, cryotherapy, mole and skin tag removal, ear wax removal, EKG, joint injections, IUD removal, and nebulizer treatments. Basic labs including urinalysis, urine pregnancy tests, and urine drug screening are also included.

The first visit runs 60 to 75 minutes. Follow-up visits typically run 30 to 45 minutes. This allows Dr. Myhre to address concerns thoroughly without rushing.

Yes to both. Dr. Myhre offers TeleVisits via secure video for members who prefer remote access. She also offers home visits for an additional fee. Home visits within Port Angeles city limits cost $100 per visit. Visits within Sequim city limits cost $160 per visit.

OMT carries a separate visit fee of $75 for members, which is significantly lower than the non-member rate. The non-member initial OMT visit costs $275, and follow-up visits cost $135. Discounts apply for Medicaid patients.

Members contact Dr. Myhre through several secure channels. These include the Spruce app for secure text messaging, secure voicemail, and the Elation Patient Passport portal. TeleVisit video appointments are also available. For emergencies, patients should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Yes. Koru Health gives members the option to donate their monthly fee to provide a membership for a community member who cannot afford care. This is a voluntary choice available to all enrolled members.

Koru Health raises membership fees no more than once per year, in accordance with Washington State law. The practice provides written notice of any fee change at least 60 days before it takes effect.
