About

At Knope Clinic, Dr. Steven Knope delivers internal medicine, sports medicine, and preventive care from his north Tucson office. He opened the practice in December 2000, making it one of the first concierge medicine practices in the country. His office sits just south of the Catalina Foothills and includes a fully equipped personal training studio on site.

Dr. Knope accepts no insurance and advocates solely for each patient without third-party interference. He personally oversees every step of care, including hospital care, and does not hand patients off to hospitalists. Evidence-based medicine, exercise physiology, and nutrition form the core of his clinical approach. Castle Connolly has recognized him as a Top Doctor every year from 2019 through 2025, and Top Rated Doctor has honored him annually from 2016 through 2025. He also authored the first book on concierge medicine, published by Praeger in 2008.
