Kahn Health does not bill insurance for membership or visits. The monthly fee covers nearly all primary care services directly. The practice recommends that members carry insurance for specialist referrals, hospitalizations, and emergencies. Medicare patients can join with a Medicare Waiver Agreement, which the practice walks new patients through by phone.

Yes. Members have direct access to Drs. Kahn by phone, text, and email. The practice makes after-hours and weekend availability for urgent medical matters. For non-life-threatening issues that arise unexpectedly, calling the practice first can often save a trip to urgent care.

Kahn Health offers same-day and next-day appointments for members. In-person visits run from 30 to 90 minutes depending on need, and the practice keeps wait times minimal. Telemedicine visits run 25 minutes and are available through the practice as well.

Yes to both. The practice offers telemedicine visits for established patients and makes homebound visits available for elderly or immobile patients. Homebound visit spots are limited and carry separate pricing. Members can ask about availability when they call or message the practice.

The 4th Trimester Program is a separate specialized service led by Dr. Malasa Kahn. It costs $2,200 for three months of care. Dr. Malasa travels to the family's home starting in the first week after birth, providing postpartum support, newborn check-ups, breastfeeding guidance, and mental health monitoring for the birthing person. The program suits first-time parents, those with difficult previous postpartum experiences, or anyone who wants comprehensive home-based care after delivery. The practice does not see infants under six months through the standard DPC membership.

As of June 2025, Kahn Health has a waitlist for new patients. Prospective members can register their information and billing details to reserve a spot on the waitlist. The practice contacts patients by phone in the order requests arrive as appointments become available. Billing does not begin until the first visit.

Membership covers a wide range of primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, urgent care visits, women's health, physicals, lifestyle medicine coaching, osteopathic manipulation, in-office lab testing, and minor procedures such as skin tag removal, simple sutures, splinting, and joint injections. The practice also coordinates specialty referrals and advocates for members throughout that process. One free osteopathic manipulation session comes with every membership.

Yes. Kahn Health does not require a long-term contract. Members can cancel anytime, and the membership expires at the end of the current monthly billing period.

Yes. Kahn Health follows vaccination schedules based on evidence-based guidelines from the AAP, CDC, and ACIP for pediatric patients.
