About
At the Institute for Medical Wellness, Dr. Steven Horvitz delivers a blend of traditional, functional, and holistic medicine from his single Moorestown, NJ office. He founded the practice in 2008 after a decade in solo private family practice, with a clear intention: to build a practice rooted in well-care rather than sick-care.
Dr. Horvitz structures his clinical approach around four key health systems: metabolic, immune/inflammatory, nutritional, and hormonal. He traces most chronic conditions back to imbalances in one or more of these systems. His Advanced Wellness Testing program evaluates biomarkers across all four, then guides patients toward nutrition and lifestyle interventions. Where appropriate, he works to reduce or eliminate medications as patients restore their health. The practice accepts members 12 and older and operates from a single location so Dr. Horvitz remains fully available to his patients.
