About
At House Calls KC, Dr. Dimitri Golfinopoulos delivers comprehensive primary care directly to patients in the Kansas City Metro area. He founded the practice in 2016 after working as a hospitalist. In that role, he noticed patients who could not leave home faced higher rates of hospital readmission. He set out to serve those patients as their dedicated primary care provider.
House Calls KC now serves hundreds of patients across Missouri and Kansas through in-home visits and telehealth. The practice reaches patients in private residences, group homes, assisted living facilities, and retirement communities. A broad network of community partners lets the practice bring imaging, lab work, sleep studies, eye exams, foot exams, and hospice care directly to patients. The team schedules follow-up visits every four to six weeks and addresses between-visit needs through telehealth. House Calls KC accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans.

Frequently Asked Questions
House Calls KC serves patients for whom getting to a doctor's office is too physically taxing, difficult, or simply not possible. Patients who are fully bed-bound also qualify. The practice reaches patients in private homes, group homes, assisted living facilities, and retirement communities throughout the Kansas City Metro area.
Yes. House Calls KC accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans. Patients remain responsible for any applicable deductibles and copayments. The practice requires a credit or debit card on file for patients who have not yet met their deductible.
The practice delivers a broad range of services in-home, including primary care visits, medication management, lab work, imaging such as x-rays, EKGs, ultrasounds, and ECHOs, sleep studies, swallow studies, eye exams, and foot exams. The practice also coordinates home health services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care, skilled nursing, speech therapy, and hospice care.
Yes. The practice offers telehealth visits as a complement to in-home care. Providers schedule follow-ups every four to six weeks, and patients can address between-visit needs through telehealth. Telehealth also serves as an option for patients in areas where an in-home visit is not immediately available.
House Calls KC serves the majority of the Kansas City Metro area across both Missouri and Kansas. This includes cities such as Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee, Independence, Lee's Summit, Grandview, Liberty, Parkville, and many others. Call the office to confirm whether your location falls within the service area.
House Calls KC focuses on primary care only. The practice does not provide emergency or urgent care services. Patients experiencing an emergency should go to the nearest emergency room or call 911. The care team resumes primary care after hospital discharge.
At the first visit, the provider completes a thorough medical and social history, conducts a physical exam, and reviews current medications. The provider orders in-home lab work if needed and develops a care plan. The team also coordinates any home health services the patient requires.
House Calls KC asks patients to cancel at least 24 hours before a scheduled in-home visit. The practice charges a $50 no-show fee for same-day cancellations or no-shows. Because providers travel to each patient, prompt cancellation allows the team to schedule another patient in that time slot.
New patients can request an appointment by calling the office or submitting a request through the patient portal or the House Calls KC website. The office asks new patients to complete intake forms before scheduling their first appointment. Staff return calls within one business day.
