About
At Heritage Family Medicine, Dr. David Fields brings a multigenerational vision of medicine to Brainerd, Minnesota. B. Robertson delivered care on horseback through the mountains of North Carolina. His grandfather Dr. David Vause served as an Air Force Flight Surgeon before becoming the only physician in Blanco County, Texas. Dr. Fields built this practice to carry that legacy forward. Heritage Family Medicine operates on a direct primary care model, skipping insurance in favor of a straightforward monthly membership. Dr. Fields holds board certification in Family Medicine and completed dual residency training in both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He sees patients of all ages, from pediatrics through seniors, and coaches each one on nutrition, hydration, exercise, sleep, mental health, and relational wellness. The practice also offers discounted labs, wholesale medications, in-office procedures, and IV hydration therapy at its newly renovated clinic at 324 South 5th Street in Brainerd.
