Healing Touch Direct Primary Care

Membership at Healing Touch Direct Primary Care costs $125 per month for all ages. Members who pay annually receive a 5% discount and a waived enrollment fee. Additional household discounts apply for each additional member within the same household.

Healing Touch Direct Primary Care waives the enrollment fee for members who pay annually, families of five or more members, college students between ages 19 and 26, and small businesses enrolling five or more employees. These waivers represent a $99 savings per adult and $49 per child.

The $125 monthly membership covers unlimited primary care visits with no co-pays, direct access to Dr. Ayela-Uwangue by phone, text, email, or video, and extended office visits ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. Members also receive a free introductory lab screening and access to near-wholesale rates on medications and lab tests.

Healing Touch Direct Primary Care does not bill insurance for membership or office visits. Both insured and uninsured patients are welcome. Members who carry insurance can use it for services outside the practice, such as specialist visits, surgeries, and hospital care. The practice pairs especially well with high-deductible health plans.

Members typically receive same-day or next-day appointments for both acute and chronic care needs. First-time visits run at least 60 minutes. Follow-up visits last 30 to 45 minutes. m. m.

Yes. Members can text or email non-urgent questions after hours, and Dr. Ayela-Uwangue responds the next business day. For urgent matters that cannot wait, members can call her directly. The practice recommends calling 911 or visiting the nearest emergency room for true emergencies.

Yes. The practice welcomes children as members at a discounted rate when enrolled with an adult member. Dr. Ayela-Uwangue is board certified in Pediatrics and handles well-child visits, acute illness, and chronic condition management. Note that the practice does not administer vaccinations on-site and directs families to local pharmacies or the health department.

Healing Touch Direct Primary Care does not provide hospital services, obstetric services, specialty care, or immunizations. Dr. Ayela-Uwangue also does not prescribe opioids or benzodiazepines for chronic pain or anxiety. She helps coordinate referrals to specialists and other providers when members need care outside the scope of primary care.

After one cancellation, members may rejoin Healing Touch Direct Primary Care by paying a one-time reactivation fee of $250. A second cancellation results in permanent removal from the practice.

No. A Healing Touch Direct Primary Care membership covers primary care services only and does not constitute health insurance. The practice cannot accept Medicare patients. Members should carry insurance or another coverage plan for emergencies, hospitalizations, specialist visits, and surgeries.
