About

At EBO MD, three physicians deliver direct primary care across four Southeast Missouri locations: Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Fredericktown, and Poplar Bluff. Co-founders Tony Thompson and Josh Stephens acquired Independent MD in 2015 and built it into what the practice now calls the largest direct primary care provider in Southeast Missouri. Starting from 100 patients, the team grew its membership to nearly 3,000 in five years.

Spending quality time with each patient shapes every clinical decision at EBO MD. The practice keeps patient panels intentionally small so providers focus on people rather than volume. Members reach their care team through office visits, phone, secure messaging, and 24/7 telehealth. Same- or next-day appointments are available, and members access any location through a shared electronic health record. Clinical services extend well beyond routine primary care. The practice offers diabetes management, hormone therapy through a Biote partnership, medically supervised weight management, peptide therapy, allergy testing and treatment, behavioral counseling, DEXA scans, diagnostic imaging through EBO Imaging+, NAD+ injections, Lipo-B injections, Cynosure laser treatments, cryotherapy, and medical acupuncture. Outside lab tests are available at wholesale pricing.
