Dothan Internal Medicine

Dothan Internal Medicine charges $50 per month or $600 per year for adults ages 26 to 64. Patients ages 18 to 25 pay $40 per month or $480 per year. Patients 65 and older pay $65 per month or $780 per year. The membership covers all routine primary care with no copay per visit.

The membership fee covers unlimited office visits, same-day urgent care, common in-office procedures such as flu tests, strep tests, urinalyses, EKGs, albuterol nebulizer treatments, and injections. It also includes the annual wellness exam, telemedicine, after-hours phone access to Dr. Beauchamp, and all standard patient paperwork. No insurance billing applies and no copay is charged per visit.

Yes. Membership covers primary care only. Dr. Beauchamp strongly recommends that all patients maintain health insurance for hospitalizations, labs, radiology, surgical care, specialty visits, and other major expenses. Membership is not a substitute for health insurance.

No. Dr. Beauchamp does not bill insurance for his services. The membership fee is the only payment he collects. However, his orders for outside services, including labs, imaging, specialist consults, and hospital care, are still honored by most insurance plans.

Yes. The membership fee qualifies for payment through a health savings account. The Big Beautiful Bill, passed in 2025, made this option available for direct primary care membership fees.

Yes, with an important condition. Dr. Beauchamp has opted out of Medicare, so Medicare patients must sign an agreement acknowledging this. Patients with a standard Medicare or PPO Medicare Advantage plan may join. Patients holding an HMO Medicare Advantage plan are not able to participate.

Yes. BCBS Select and Statewide individual and ACA plans that require a named primary care physician to authorize all referrals are not compatible. HMO Medicare Advantage plans are also not compatible. The office staff can help patients determine whether their specific plan allows participation.

Yes. Dr. Beauchamp offers same-day or next-day urgent care appointments to all members. After-hours phone access is also available, which Dr. Beauchamp hopes reduces unnecessary urgent care visits for members.

No. Lab work runs through a patient's insurance at the lab of their choice. For patients without insurance, Dr. Beauchamp can arrange labs at negotiated prices through a local facility.

Yes. Dothan Internal Medicine offers telemedicine through phone and text. After-hours phone access to Dr. Beauchamp is also included in the membership. He believes patients should speak with a doctor familiar with their history, not an unfamiliar provider.
