About

At Core Family Practice, six physicians deliver direct primary care across two locations in southeastern Pennsylvania. Dr. Ricky Haug founded the practice in 2016 in Kennett Square, driven by a belief that strong relationships, accessibility, and affordable care belong at the center of medicine. The team has since grown to include Dr. Michele Sheptock, Dr. Paul Yerkes, Dr. Richard Francesco, Dr. Bryanne Robson, and Dr. Alexandra Cohn. Each physician caps their panel at 600 to 700 patients and serves as each member's personal physician. No PAs or NPs direct patient care. Members reach their doctor by text, phone, email, video, or in-person visit around the clock.

The monthly membership starts at $80 and covers office visits, same-day sick appointments, physicals, telemedicine, EKGs, lab draws, laceration repair, joint injections, and more with no co-pays. The practice runs an in-house pharmacy with deeply discounted medications and an on-site lab draw site with reduced-cost testing. The clinical scope spans family medicine, sports medicine, lifestyle medicine, aesthetic medicine, and pediatrics. Dr. Francesco leads sports medicine services using ultrasound-guided injections and PRP. Dr. Robson leads a virtual Lifestyle Medicine membership program focused on plant-based nutrition and chronic disease reversal. The practice also partners with employers to integrate DPC into workplace health benefits. Home visits are available for an additional fee.

No. Core Family Practice does not require insurance and does not bill any insurance company. The practice works directly with patients. Patients with insurance can still keep their coverage for services outside the practice's scope, such as specialist visits, hospitalizations, or imaging. HSA and FSA funds can pay the DPC membership fee.

Yes. Members can contact their personal physician by text, phone, email, or video conference. The practice offers 24/7 accessibility so patients can connect with their doctor when they need to, not just during scheduled hours.

Yes. The practice offers telemedicine as part of the standard membership. Virtual visits are a convenient option for issues that do not require an in-person exam, and the practice uses video conferencing for both primary care and the Core Lifestyle Virtual Membership program led by Dr. Robson.

Yes. Core Family Practice offers home visits for an additional fee. A nurse visit costs $50 and a physician visit costs $100. This option provides added convenience for patients who cannot easily come into the office.

Each physician limits their panel to 600 to 700 patients. That keeps appointments unhurried and access consistent. Every patient selects a personal physician who exclusively directs their care. No physician assistants or nurse practitioners manage care. Patients reach their doctor directly by text, phone, or video at any hour.

Yes. All six physicians hold family medicine training, which means they care for patients of all ages, from newborns through adults. Services for younger patients include wellness visits, school and sports physicals, immunizations, and sick visits.

Yes. The practice runs a sports medicine clinic led by Dr. Richard Francesco, who holds dual board certification in family medicine and sports medicine. Services include ultrasound-guided injections, platelet-rich plasma therapy, trigger point injections, percutaneous needle tenotomy, and concussion management. The sports medicine clinic also accepts non-members at transparent pricing.

Yes. Core Family Practice works with businesses to build on-site employer clinics and integrates DPC with self-insured and high-deductible health plans. Employers who have added DPC to their benefits have reported lower premiums and reduced claim costs. The practice can walk employers through plan design options.

Yes. The practice maintains an in-house pharmacy with deeply discounted medications for members. Examples include Sildenafil at $1 per pill, Finasteride at $9 for a 30-day supply, and oral contraceptives starting at $9 for a 30-day supply. Members also access reduced-cost lab work through the on-site draw site.
