About

At Bloom Pediatrics and Lactation, four physicians deliver membership-based pediatric care in Kansas City, KS. Dr. Lauren Hughes founded the practice in 2020, the day after completing her residency. She built Bloom around a simple conviction: every child deserves unhurried, personal care from a doctor who knows their name.

The practice serves patients from birth through age 22. Members choose between two tiers: Bloom At Clinic for office-based care, and Bloom At Home for all visits in the home. The $80 monthly membership covers well child checks, same and next-day sick visits, developmental screenings, lactation support, and more. Dr. Hughes leads a community milk sharing program, connecting screened donors with local families. Dr. Jennifer Dilts brings specialist-level expertise in headache medicine, medical acupuncture, and pediatric behavioral health. Dr. Jodi VanGundy and Dr. Jordan Strickler round out the team with board-certified pediatric primary care. Members reach their doctor directly by text, video, or in person, 24 hours a day.
