Bloom Pediatrics and Lactation

Bloom Pediatrics charges $80 per month per child. The practice also collects a one-time, non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 for a single child or $150 for a family. Families with three or more actively enrolled children receive a 20% discount on their monthly fees. Bloom accepts HSA payments.

The $80 monthly membership covers all in-office visits, same and next-day sick visits, well child checks, stitches, staples, and rapid tests for strep, flu, COVID, and RSV. It also includes developmental screenings, lactation support, and immunizations through the VaxCare program. The membership does not cover specialist referrals, hospitalizations, or labs and imaging sent out to outside facilities.

Bloom does not bill insurance or Medicaid for membership services. Vaccines bill through VaxCare for insured families; children who qualify participate in the Vaccines for Children program. For outside labs or imaging, the practice discusses cash prices with families before ordering, or those costs can run through a family's insurance directly.

Bloom offers two tiers: Bloom At Clinic and Bloom At Home. Bloom At Clinic members receive office-based care, with newborn house calls included at no extra cost for the first two checkups. Bloom At Home members receive all visits in their home. House calls after one month of age are available to Bloom At Clinic members for an additional fee.

Yes. Bloom gives every member their doctor's cell phone number. Families can reach their pediatrician 24 hours a day by text, video call, or in person. The practice builds its model around that direct, ongoing access.

Bloom offers same and next-day sick visits for all members. The practice makes every effort to see children quickly, including outside of traditional office hours. Sick visit care covers everything the practice does in office, including rapid diagnostic testing and procedures like stitches and staples.

Yes. Bloom offers telemedicine and virtual visits for members. Families can connect with their doctor by video when an in-person visit is not necessary or convenient.

Bloom Pediatrics serves patients from birth through age 22. When patients reach 22, the practice helps guide their transition to adult healthcare.

Yes. Dr. Hughes offers lactation consultations to families who are not Bloom members. An initial visit costs $300 and a follow-up visit costs $200. Each consultation includes a full feeding evaluation, weighted feeds, a personalized feeding plan, and two weeks of virtual follow-up support.

Families can request a meet and greet with Dr. Jordan Strickler, who is currently accepting new patients, through the Bloom Pediatrics website. com. Bloom does not maintain a waitlist; the practice posts availability updates on its website and social media.
