Dr. Zachary Tomlinson earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Osteopathic Family Medicine residency at St. Petersburg General Hospital, where he and Dr. Sunny Tomlinson trained together. He holds board certification in both Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
Early in his career, Dr. Tomlinson worked as an inpatient psychiatric hospitalist in Pinellas County. That experience showed him how many patients struggled without reliable primary care follow-up. He later served as a hospitalist at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach and as Medical Director of the AdventHealth Community Clinic. He currently serves as Medical Director of the New Smyrna Beach Volusia Volunteers of Medicine Health Department Family Medicine Clinic. He also teaches as adjunct faculty at both Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Atlanta and Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Tomlinson founded Sunrise Health Direct Primary Care in October 2022. He lives in New Smyrna Beach with his family and enjoys boating, fishing, paddleboarding, and camping.
