Dr. Travis Allen, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician, Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, and HIMS Aviation Medical Examiner. He founded The Pilot Clinic to serve pilots and primary care patients in the West Valley, where he grew up and graduated from Buckeye Union High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and later earned his commission through Officer Candidate School.

Dr. Allen earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center through the Interservice Physician Assistant Program at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He then worked as a military and civilian PA across combat medicine, flight medicine, interventional cardiology, family medicine, and urgent care. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree Summa Cum Laude from the University of Science, Arts, and Technology in Montserrat, British West Indies. His Internal Medicine residency at the Creighton University School of Medicine-Phoenix Program included rotations at Barrow Neurological Institute and the Mayo Clinic. The residency class named him Teaching Resident of the Year, and he graduated as Outstanding Senior Resident of the Year. He holds hospitalist privileges at Abrazo West Campus and City of Hope in Goodyear.
