About

Dr. Todd Bergland is a board-certified family physician and Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania before completing his MD at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2002. His classmates and instructors selected him to receive the class Humanism in Medicine Award. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, where he served as chief resident in 2005.

S. Army and stationed in Stuttgart, Germany. He then deployed to Iraq for 13 months during Operation Iraqi Freedom as a tank battalion surgeon. After seven years of active duty, he left the Army in 2009 and relocated to Whitefish, Montana with his wife Glenna and their daughter Susie. He spent the next decade in private practice in Whitefish before founding Fountainhead Family Med in January 2020. He is passionate about chronic disease management, preventive care, and the clinical diagnosis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Outside the clinic, he volunteers as a sideline physician at Bulldog football games and at the local free clinic, and serves on the North Valley Hospital Board of Directors and the Kalispell Regional Healthcare Board of Trustees. He and Glenna have three children: Susie, Ginger, and Stuey.
