Dr. Stefan Carl Harmeling leads Aloha Nui DPC in Hilo, Hawaii as its founder and sole physician. He earned his undergraduate degree at Florida State University in Tallahassee before completing his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. His internship and residency training took place at White Memorial Medical Center in East Los Angeles, California.

Early in his career, Dr. Harmeling participated in medical missions in Haiti in 1997 and East Africa and Kenya in 2001. He went on to practice family medicine at the Venice Family Clinic and Bay Clinic in Pahoa before serving as a hospitalist at Hilo Medical Center through Team Health. He opened Aloha Nui Family Practice in 2007 and transitioned it to a direct primary care model in 2019. He currently serves as Medical Director at Hawaii Community Correctional Center.
