She completed her medical education at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, finishing first in her class in 2006 through the Fifth Pathway Program at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. She holds triple board certification in Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, and Obesity Medicine. Dr. Pérez-Colón has earned numerous honors, including the 2025 Medical Leadership Award from Behealth Puerto Rico and the 2016 Best Doctor Award at Kings County Hospital.
