About

Dr. Robyn Joseph Gutman holds board certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Italian Literature from Smith College in Northampton, MA, spending one of those undergraduate years studying in Florence, Italy. She then earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University Medical School in Cleveland, Ohio. Her pediatric residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, one of the country's top-ranked programs, gave her a strong clinical foundation.

Dr. Gutman spent her first two years in practice at Suburban Pediatrics in Cleveland before relocating to Phoenix in 2004. Over the following 19 years at Phoenix Pediatrics, she built deep expertise in both general pediatric care and complex, medically fragile patients from birth through adulthood. She launched Birdie Pediatrics in 2023, pioneering the DPC model for children in the Phoenix area. Today she serves as a guest lecturer on adolescent medicine at Northern Arizona University and speaks nationally as a leader in pediatric direct primary care. She has mentored Phoenix-area pediatricians pursuing specialized direct patient care. She is passionate about adolescent medicine, ADHD, newborn care, and chronic childhood conditions. Dr. Gutman is married to Michael Gutman, an ENT in the Valley, and they are the proud parents of three daughters. Outside the clinic, she enjoys golf, yoga, hiking, running, and travel.
