Dr. Robert Bowling is a board-certified family physician and a 4th generation doctor with 39 years of clinical experience. He grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1978. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with high honors from Lamar University in 1981. He went on to graduate as Valedictorian from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1985.

Dr. Bowling spent 30 years in private practice in Port Neches before relocating to the west San Antonio and Boerne area. He co-founded Bowling Family Medicine in 2020 with his wife Lisa to build a practice centered on genuine patient relationships. His clinical focus spans preventive care, chronic disease management, weight management, acute illness, and pediatric care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Bowling is an active member of his local church and a neighborhood Bible study group. He and Lisa married in 1982 and have three daughters, Brooke, Blaire, and Bailey, and eight grandchildren. He enjoys hunting, cycling, hiking, and pickleball.
