Dr. Robert Blakeburn earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma in 1984, then completed his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1987. He finished a Family Practice Residency at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as Chief Resident before earning board certification in Family Medicine. The Air Force shaped the early years of his career. He served as an active duty physician at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, also working as an ER physician at Bass Baptist Hospital. He attained the rank of Major and received the Meritorious Service Medal.
In 1993, Dr. Blakeburn co-founded the Enid Clinic and served as its president. He moved to Clinton in 2001 to become the first full-time ER physician at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital, also directing the Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Unit. He established The Blakeburn Clinic in 2007, returning to private practice with a focus on family and holistic medicine. Today he serves as Director of the AllianceHealth Clinton Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and holds membership in the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Christian Medical and Dental Society. His clinical interests span heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, hormone health, weight management, allergy and immunotherapy, and anti-aging medicine. Outside medicine, he is an Eagle Scout, former Scoutmaster of Troop 361, a longtime supporter of the Western Oklahoma Ballet Theatre and Southwest Playhouse, and the current chairman of Vine Life Ministries. He and his wife Kristin are parents to triplet boys, Christopher, Jason, and Matthew, and daughter Chelsea.
