He served as Emergency Department Director at Integris Clinton Regional, then founded The Blakeburn Clinic in Clinton, Oklahoma, returning to his roots in family medicine. He served as Medical Director of the Jim Thorpe Inpatient Physical Rehabilitation Unit, Hospital Chief of Staff, and Director of the Clinton Free Medical Clinic.
