Dr. Robbie Cooksey has practiced family medicine in West Texas for more than three decades. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Texas State University in San Marcos in 1982. He then completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center in Fort Worth in 1989. His rotating internship followed at Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie.
Dr. Cooksey holds board certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He served as Medical Director of the Rural Health Clinic at Methodist/Covenant Malone Hogan Clinic from 1994 to 2003. Since 2003, he has held active staff positions in the Department of Medicine at both Abilene Regional Medical Center and Hendrick Medical Center. He belongs to the American Osteopathic Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Taylor, Jones, Haskell County Medical Society.
