About

Dr. Rich Wyderski knew he wanted to be a physician from an early age, growing up in Dayton, Ohio. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton before completing his medical degree, internal medicine residency, and geriatrics fellowship at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He also holds a Master of Medical Management from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. The American Board of Internal Medicine has certified him in both internal medicine and geriatrics.

After six years in private practice, Dr. Wyderski joined Wright State University School of Medicine as Assistant Clinical Professor, eventually rising to Clinical Professor and Associate Residency Program Director. In 2011, he moved to Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he served as Director of Perioperative Medicine and Medical Director of the Davie Medical Center Acute Care for Elders Unit. Colleagues elected him Best Doctor in America each year from 2015 through 2020. He also received the Press-Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award for patient satisfaction two years running, ranking first among all North Carolina hospitals. In 2019, he and his wife Karen settled permanently in Vero Beach. He is passionate about prediabetes management, cardiovascular risk stratification, Alzheimer's disease diagnostics, and healthy aging. Outside the office, he enjoys reading, travel, cars, and rooting for the UD Flyers basketball team alongside his wife and two miniature Schnauzers.
