Dr. Rakhee Devasthali grew up in Fayetteville, NC and has called the Triangle home for over 15 years. A. in Women and Gender Studies with a minor in Social and Economic Justice from UNC Chapel Hill. That undergraduate focus sparked a lasting commitment to community health. She went on to complete her MD at UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine, where she helped organize conversations framing racism, police brutality, and poverty as healthcare issues. Her Family Medicine residency at Duke University Hospital deepened that work. There, she helped build a reproductive justice curriculum with Planned Parenthood, created accessible care structures for Spanish-speaking and Latinx families in Durham, and helped stand up a telemedicine system during COVID-19.

Dr. Devasthali holds training in No-Needle, No-Scalpel Vasectomy under Dr. Doug Stein of VasWeb Vasectomies and Reversals. She also holds Full Spectrum Doula certification and brings years of herbalism study to her practice. She weaves herbal medicines, community support groups, and joyful movement into care plans where they fit.
