Dr. Peter Walton earned his undergraduate degree in Zoology and Chemistry from Texas A&M University, graduating magna cum laude in 1988. He went on to complete his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 1994. He then trained in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, finishing his residency in 1997. After moving to the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Walton worked as a staff emergency physician at Mease Hospitals in Dunedin and Palm Harbor until 2002. He then opened Westchase Primary Care in Tampa, running it as a solo practitioner for sixteen years.
