Dr. Peter Catalano is a board-certified otolaryngologist with more than 35 years of clinical practice. He earned a BS from Columbia University School of Engineering and an MD from The Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he also completed his otolaryngology residency. He joined the full-time faculty at Mount Sinai, eventually becoming Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Catalano later served as Chair of Otolaryngology at Lahey Clinic and held several executive and academic leadership roles within Steward Health Care, including Professor of Otolaryngology at Tufts University and Director of the Rhinology Fellowship. He has delivered more than 300 invited lectures and contributed to over 95 peer-reviewed publications and 25 book chapters. He founded the Foundation for Innovation, Education and Research in Otolaryngology (FIERO) and has co-authored research on nasal breathing with Dr. John Walker.
