Dr. Nirupama Gupta has wanted to care for children since childhood. She started babysitting at age 15 and worked at a daycare center before entering medical school. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida, graduating Cum Laude. Her medical degree came from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa.

Dr. Gupta completed her General Pediatrics residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in Connecticut. She then returned to the University of Florida for a fellowship in Pediatric Nephrology. After fellowship, she served as Assistant Professor in Pediatric Nephrology and Director of the Pediatric Hypertension Clinic at UF. She treated patients with complex kidney diseases, cared for children on dialysis, and managed children through kidney transplantation. She holds dual board certification in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology. USCIS has authorized her as a Civil Surgeon to perform Immigration Physicals for both adults and children.
