Michael K. Kwok, MD, grew up in San Francisco and earned the Karpenstein Award as the top graduate of Lowell High School's Class of 1980. S. in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley with High Honors, where he also held the distinction of UC Regents Scholar and membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi. He earned his M.D. at UCLA School of Medicine in 1989, again as a UC Regents Scholar. During medical school, he pursued a Post-Sophomore Fellowship in Pathology at UCLA, gaining training in autopsy, surgical, and clinical pathology.
Dr. Kwok completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. He holds board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, most recently recertified through 2023. He has practiced internal medicine in Marin County since 1992, first running a private practice in Novato for nearly 19 years. He founded Kwok Internal Medicine in 2014.
