Dr. Michael Hilts has practiced medicine since 1999 and holds board certifications in both family medicine and primary care sports medicine. He spent most of his career in Greensboro with Piedmont Orthopedics, now known as Cone OrthoCare, focusing on non-surgical sports medicine and family medicine. In 2014 he moved with his family to Texas, where a period of personal family health challenges introduced him to functional medicine. He pursued functional medicine training through the Institute for Functional Medicine, taking courses at every opportunity. His goal was to apply that knowledge to benefit as many patients as possible.
