Dr. Michael Carson is a board-certified internist with over 20 years of clinical experience. A Philadelphia native, he earned his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his medical degree at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. His residency in internal medicine took place at Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital, where he earned selection as Chief Medical Resident. He then completed a fellowship in Consultative Medicine with a focus on Women's Health through the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University and Women and Infants' Hospital of Rhode Island.

Dr. Carson founded Carson Internal Medicine in August 2024 after an accomplished career in academic and hospital medicine. He served as Vice Chair of Research at Jersey Shore University Medical Center from 2007 to 2020, and as Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine at St. Peters University Hospital from 1998 to 2007. He currently holds a position as Full Professor of Medicine at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine and serves as Associate Medical Director for the Hackensack Meridian Health Clinically Integrated Network. His scholarly record includes 47 original articles, 16 book chapters, and 21 meeting abstracts. He co-edited the book "Sex- and Gender-Based Women's Health: A Practical Guide for Primary Care" published by Springer in 2021.
