Dr. Mehvish Shah is a native Texan who grew up in the DFW area. S. in Biology with a minor in Art from Austin College, then spent time volunteering at a nonprofit law firm in downtown Dallas before pivoting to medicine. She completed her medical degree at West Virginia University, where she focused on rural underserved communities and international medicine. Her Family Medicine residency at Oklahoma State University Health Sciences in Tulsa deepened her passion for acute care.
After residency, Dr. Shah spent several years in Tulsa working as a hospitalist, associate medical director across multiple hospitals, an ER physician within the Indian Health Services system, and a wellness clinic medical director. She returned to DFW to focus on outpatient care and continues her international medicine work, including recent involvement with an indigenous clinic in New Zealand. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys biking, kayaking, pickleball, and time with family and friends.
