Dr. Meghan Galer is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and the founder of ColGACare in Columbus, GA. She earned her MD in 2011 from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Her residency training took place at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, where she completed her Emergency Medicine training in 2014. Before medical school, she spent ten years volunteering as a paramedic with the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Rescue Squad.

While stationed at Fort Benning, Dr. Galer founded the world's first Heat Center, dedicated to the study and prevention of exertional heat illness.
