Dr. Maria S. Young earned her undergraduate degree as an Elizabeth Blackwell Scholar at William Smith College before heading to Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. A National Health Service Corps Scholar during medical school, she completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh hospitals (UPMC) and the VA Medical Center in Pittsburgh in 2003.
