About

Madhuri Sharma, MD grew up in Wilmington, DE and returned to her hometown to found Flow Integrative Medicine & Direct Primary Care. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Her family medicine residency at the University of Virginia selected her as Chief Resident. She then completed a fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Arizona. She holds board certification in Family Medicine and certification from The Menopause Society. She is also pursuing advanced training through the Institute of Functional Medicine and completing an 800-hour yoga therapy program at Svastha Yoga & Ayurveda.

Before opening Flow, Dr. Sharma worked as a partner in a community-based private practice, at a large managed care organization, and as Medical Director at a Federally Qualified Health Center. She also developed telemedicine care guidelines during her career. A personal experience with the premature birth of her twins deepened her focus on gut health and the ways lifestyle choices shape long-term wellness. She co-founded Masala Meals with her mom and sister to teach patients how to cook with plants and spices. Dr. Sharma is passionate about women's health, Ayurvedic nutrition, and building a community where entire families get involved in their own well-being. She and her husband have three young children.
