She specializes in Internal Medicine, Functional Medicine, and Preventive Medicine, treating conditions that include thyroid disease, adrenal fatigue, menopause, andropause, PCOS, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular risk. She holds the motto "Ancora Imparo" - "I am still learning" - and continuously pursues new integrative approaches. She treats patients as unique whole-body systems and regularly cares for multiple members of the same family. Outside the clinic, Dr. Sweat sings with the band Doctor Doctor alongside her husband, cardiologist Dr. Matt Sweat, and with her church choir. She enjoys boating on Kentucky lakes, slalom skiing, yoga, pilates, hiking, and tending a summer garden.
