About
Dr. Krystine Swannick traces her path to medicine back to childhood in New Jersey. While other kids watched cartoons, anatomy books and organ system models held her attention far more than typical toys. That early curiosity deepened when her father developed severe hypertension and kidney failure in her late teens. He required dialysis and eventually a kidney transplant. Watching his illness up close made her calling unmistakable.
She entered a seven-year accelerated college-medical school program spanning Rutgers University and UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her internship, residency, and fellowship there as well. The Kidney and Urology Foundation of America awarded her a research grant in 2003. She served as Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School from 2004 to 2008 and has worked as a Sub Clinical Investigator with Gulf Coast Clinical Research Associates since 2013. She holds board certifications from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nephrology. Dr. Swannick joined her partner, Dr. Merit Gadallah, in Naples in 2011. She holds admitting privileges at NCH Baker Hospital and NCH North Naples Hospital. Outside the office, she is a proud wife and mother who values work-life balance.
