Dr. Kathryn Hart is a board-certified family medicine physician who has cared for patients of all ages for more than 16 years. She grew up in the DC area, earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, and received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society inducted her and she received the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.

After residency, Dr. Hart returned to the University of Maryland School of Medicine as Director of Medical Student Education and Clerkship Director in the Department of Family Medicine. Today she serves as a Professor of Family Medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine and directs the Primary Care Leadership Track there. She is also a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Her clinical focus spans adolescent and adult primary care, with attention to family dynamics and diverse health needs across the lifespan. She has earned multiple awards for her contributions to training the next generation of primary care physicians, along with Top Doctor recognition in 2025 and the 2026 Hall of Fame. She lives in Chevy Chase with her husband and four children.
