About

Dr. Katherine Nolan is the founder and Medical Director of Carabella Dermatology in Carmel, Indiana. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University before earning her medical degree with distinction in research at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. During medical school, she co-founded and served as president of the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children. That organization established clinics in Costa Rica, Peru, India, El Salvador, Uganda, and other countries.

Dr. Nolan completed her dermatology residency at the University of Miami, where she served as co-investigator on clinical studies in skin cancer and sun safety. She then completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship in advanced surgical dermatology. Post-residency, she received advanced training in laser and aesthetic dermatology in Orange County, California, working with some of the country's top cosmetic injectors. She later served as Director of Cosmetic Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth in Ohio. Her hair loss expertise grew through advanced training under Dr. Antonella Tosti, one of the world's leading authorities in hair and scalp disorders. Dr. Nolan holds board certification in dermatology and membership in the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Women's Dermatology Society, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. She has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, spoken at national conferences including the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and delivered a keynote address on hair loss for the Lupus Foundation of America.
