Dr. John Nelson has practiced internal medicine in southeastern Connecticut for over two decades. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Williams College in 1984. He then completed a postgraduate Master of Science in Physiology at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1988. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine in 1992 and completed both his internship and internal medicine residency there by 1995.
Dr. Nelson spent twelve years as an outpatient primary care physician at Morren and Nomizu, PC before joining Lawrence and Memorial Hospital as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist, a role he held from 2007 to 2017.
