About
John "Jack" Monaco, MD, FACOG, FAARFM, ABAARM, earned his medical degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He later earned a fellowship in Anti-Aging, Functional and Metabolic Medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He holds board certifications in both OB/GYN and Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine.
After more than 35 years in OB/GYN, Dr. Monaco redirected his career toward integrative medicine following a personal health event in 2007. He has since built close to 20 years of hands-on expertise in bioidentical hormone restoration. His clinical interests span testosterone deficiency, menopause, andropause, adrenal fatigue, thyroid health, cardiometabolic disease, weight loss, peptide therapy, and gut health. He serves as Medical Director of Nashville Hormone and Integrative Medicine Center, Division of Hormone Restoration Medical Director at The Hypertension Institute, and Associate Medical Director of Integrative Medicine at The Hypertension Institute in Nashville. He holds a faculty position as Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also serves as a member of the Teaching Faculty and Oral Board Examiner for the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Monaco has lectured to physicians across the United States, Canada, and the Middle East on hormone restoration, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, functional medicine, and cardiometabolic disease. He has earned both the Connecticut Top Doctor Award and the Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award.
