He completed his residency at Memorial University Hospital in Savannah, the city where he would later build his practice.
After residency, Dr. Bennett spent seven years in private Internal Medicine practice in Atlanta. He then returned to Southeast Georgia, bringing more than 20 years of direct patient care across both outpatient and hospital settings. He served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Medical Staff for a hospital in Southeast Georgia.
