About
Dr. Jeffrey S. Gold, MD earned his biology degree from the University of Pennsylvania before completing his medical degree at UMASS Medical School. He finished his Family Medicine residency in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2005. His path into medicine began with a personal experience that stayed with him. His grandmother, who largely raised him, developed early-onset dementia at 68 and received inadequate care as her condition progressed. That experience set his course toward medicine and never left him.
After nearly a decade in practice, Dr. Gold discovered the Direct Primary Care model in 2014 and opened Gold Direct Care the following year. He focuses on family medicine and preventive care, and he manages a wide range of chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and depression. He keeps his panel near 1,000 patients and personally handles after-hours urgent needs by cell phone and text. Outside the office, Dr. Gold stays busy keeping up with his energetic teenage twins. He also shares his home with Louie, a bulldog who serves as the practice's unofficial mascot.
