About

Dr. Erik Cohen is a board-certified pediatrician who trained at some of the country's leading institutions. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also conducted PCR-based research on human hearing. He then completed a Master's Degree in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University before earning his MD from Temple University School of Medicine. His residency in Pediatrics took place at Connecticut Children's Medical Center through the University of Connecticut.

Before founding Next Generation Pediatrics in 2006, Dr. Cohen practiced in a private primary care office in Simsbury, CT and worked in a busy urban pediatric emergency department in Hartford, CT. He wanted to build a practice where patients never waited and physicians always had enough time. That conviction led him to create one of the country's first concierge pediatric practices. He now lives in Armonk, NY, and has two adult children.
