Dr. Eric Gerchman grew up in a medical household, watching his father practice family medicine and instill a patient-first philosophy that would shape his entire career. D. from Finch University of Health Sciences / The Chicago Medical School in 1995. He then completed his Family Medicine residency at Lancaster General Hospital Residency Program in 1998, where he received the Department of Pediatrics Award in 1997. Dr. Gerchman holds board certification in Family Practice.

In 1999, he moved to Maine with his wife Denyell and their four children, settling in the town of Denmark. He spent more than two decades practicing in communities of Western Maine, including at Western Maine Family Practice in Norway. His peers and patients have recognized his contributions with multiple honors: the 2014 Bridgton Hospital HEROES Award, the 2016 Maine Family Physician of the Year award from the Maine Academy of Family Physicians, and both the Patient Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. Dr. Gerchman is passionate about preventive health and teaches patients a framework he calls the 5 Pillars of Health: sleep, stress management, exercise, healthy diet, and water. Outside medicine, he enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, home projects, and mission trips with Denyell. He founded Living Well Family Medicine in October 2020 after seven years of researching the DPC model.
