Dr. Deborah Dunn grew up in Columbus, Ohio and earned her undergraduate degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Before medicine, she worked as a social worker at a homeless shelter and then at a community mental health center. Those years shaped her instinct for meeting people where they are. She and her husband moved to New York City in 1997, where she completed both her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and her pediatrics residency at Mount Sinai Hospital.
