Dr. Dawn Broderick grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she was an avid golfer and swimmer. She earned her BS in Biology from Stanford University, then returned to Hawaii to complete her MD at the University of Hawaii in 1990. Her Internal Medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio shaped her deeply. At the close of that training, the Cleveland Clinic honored her with the Stewart Fellow award for humanistic values in medicine. She also served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine there in 1993.
